Tap connectors are convenient wire splice connector that is used for splicing a new wire into an existing wire. These wire splice connectors contain moisture resistant grease providing a corrosion barrier and are commonly used in trailer lighting applications. Tap-In connectors will electrically tap into a wire without cutting or stripping the wire. The Tap-In connector can be used on solid or stranded, tinned or copper conductors and mates with male bullet connectors, providing a removable plug connection. T-Tap female connectors can connect to a male push-on terminal and are capable of connecting to an insulated (solid or stranded) copper wire without you cutting or stripping the wire. The terminals connection completes a T-splice, which allows you to easily remove the connection when needed.
